Last May, Taylor Swift announced that she would be the new spokesperson for CoverGirl. She said she was "so excited" about her new gig, and admired the "confident" artists and actresses that have been chosen to rep the brand in the past.
Since signing her deal, Tay has released two commercials for the cosmetics company, the second of which just began airing last week. It shows the 21-year-old country star wearing a signature sparkly dress and working the camera with fiery red lips, representing "the next generation of beautiful."
The commercial is meant to inspire a younger group of customers to log into Facebook, and, as Taylor says, "Join the beauty movement to help all of us rock the cover girls we are." But are you guys buying it?
Maybe. When we asked you what you thought of Taylor's CoverGirl deal, 63 percent of you said it was awesome news, while 14 percent of you simply thought it was cool. However, 22 percent said the singer was taking on too many endorsements.
