"Taylor Swift Named Top-Selling and Most-Played Artist of 2010"
The Nashville resident has sold over 4.4 million copies of her latest album, 'Speak Now,' and had over 1.128 million airplay detections in 2010. With over 34 million songs downloaded to date, Taylor is also the top-selling digital artist in music history.
What's the secret to her success? "You write about things nobody knows you went through," Taylor tells The Boot. "I don't know any other way of writing songs than writing detailed songs that are stories in musical form."
Taylor also told the country blog that she's more comfortable expressing her true feelings through song, even though, "many more people are going to hear than if I just sent a text message," she admits.
The successful singer earned top-selling artist in 2008, and her sophomore album, 'Fearless,' was the best-selling album of 2009.
